Every conference has its magic. Even though it’s not the biggest, NFTSeattle has a unique energy that’s proven to be a driving force for web3. And it’s not just about the museum. The level of knowledge about NFTs from the speakers and attendees was incredible—we ran into so many teams who are pushing the boundaries of what NFTs are and could be.
As always, we had an incredible time chatting it up at the booth, meeting customers, and sharing stories. Here are some of the highlights.
Pinata Customers IRL
As a more intimate conference than say NFT NYC or ETH Berlin (which were absolutely awesome in their own right), NFTSeattle gave us the chance to dive into deeper conversations with creators of all different types. Here are some of the Pinata-powered projects that we had a chance to connect with.
If you’re getting the newsletter, you know how much we love NiftyLit. Using Pinata’s token-gating API, NiftyLit publishes monthly and quarterly “issues,” offering literary NFTs which unlock each piece of literary work. Writers get paid in USD, earning royalty rates far greater than traditional models.
Vennity brings digital collectibles to the real world. Using Vennity’s platform, any project creator can build a Pokemon-Go like NFT experience that allows for IRL exploration. Everyone loves a good scavenger hunt.
Ever had an NFT sing to you? Sammy Arriaga is a singer/songwriter who uses Pinata to spread his music via blockchain. His first project “METAGIRL” debuted on OpenSea in February 2022, and through the strength of his 384k followers on TikTok, you can bet he’s got plenty of fans waiting on the next collection.
Kyle’s Fireside Chat with Doc Peace
We love telling the Pinata story. Kyle had the opportunity to share the stage with Doc Peace, the first female web3 spoken word artist, where they chatted about his journey as a founder and the importance of resiliency when building in the NFT space. Shout out to every founder steadily building in their mom’s basement. They also chatted about how educational content and tutorials have been so crucial to Pinata’s growth, and why he believes that App NFTs are the future.
Overall, the vibes were impeccable. Great fun, great conversations, and great learning from creators. Thanks so much to the NFT Seattle organizers for putting on a killer event, and for giving us a chance to see how creators (and the city!) are pushing the space forward. We just want the builders to keep on building.
